Pakistan, which sponsored terrorism in India, is paid back in the same coin by the terrorists in its own land. Pakistan felt happy when Pak backed khalistani terrorists forced the Indian government to launch Blue Star Operation. Now the same Pakistan has been forced to launch operation in Lal Masjid of Islamabad for the similar reasons.

See the changing colours of the United States. Only till recently the US had been praising Pak President Musharraf on several counts. The same US experts now say that Musharraf regime is collapsing; Musharraf did not act swiftly and ruthlessly; and hold Musharraf responsible for deterioration of civil society. Old character of the US is to throw away the used utensils.

Our standard of education at IIMs and IITs is already world class. Now I think we can improve upon it further. In subjects like, Money Management, we have no dearth of excellent talents. With the help of Money Management gurus like Lalu Prasad yadav, Mulayam Singh, Mayavati and the ilk, we can develop a very rich faculty in particular subjects. We all know that Lalu Prasad is very much required at IIM Ahemdabad. Why can't we innovate; there is plenty of scope.

Maoists attacked two police stations in Bihar killing six policemen and three civilians. They looted 17 rifles. Why human right activists remain silent on such killings? Why do they not condemn Maoists for such killings and destruction?

The CPI(M) has decided to take up an ambitious programme for the expansion of the party mass base. The party would intensity mass struggle for issues like public distribution system, BPL cards, provision of house sites, displacement of farmers etc. Will the party intensity mass struggle on such issues in west Bengal also where it is ruling since last 30 years?

After Pratibha Patil takes oath of the largest democracy, somebody should institute an award to go the deep into the history of our ex-presidents to find out more scandalously illustrious President than her. In future, need to submit memorandum against corrupt politicians should stop to go to Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Dina Nath Mishra

CIA's declassified documents contain analysis of the Chinese and Russian links to the CPI and also predicted possibility of its split in 1962. Has the CIA withheld the information about its machinations in the split of the CPI. The CIA has been playing this game in number of countries including that of Soviet Union in late eighties.

I am not trying to be prophetic but trends shows that foreign multinationals would soon be dictating economic, political and social agenda of the country. If corporate India keeps personal interest below patriotism, India's subjugation can be avoided. Presently, if Indian Corporate collaborating with MNCs decides to conspire with the foreign MNCs, in their narrow self-interest, the subjugation of India cannot be avoided.

Dina Nath Mishra

CPM's People's Democracy has ridiculed outgoing President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam for allegedly trying to seek the second term. Did he try to seek second term even after request from 70% of countrymen? By mocking such a magnanimous and patriotic soul, the Communists are adding another chapter of falsehood and opportunism in its history.

R.N.P. Singh

Acceptance of yet another 'Historic Mistake' by Indian Communists. They have travelled a long way form 'Running Dog of Imperialism', 'Tojo's Dog' to the celebration of their birth day or anniversaries. In the list of rehabilitated personalities now B.C. Roy has also been added. Once maligned and demonized B.C. Roy's birthday is going to be celebrated by Communists in a big way on 1 July 2007! This is what is known as the 'Principle of Dialectics'.

Mayawati, who till recently claimed that she was the exclusive leader of dalits, says that money (Rs. 52 crore) was given to her by party workers. It is heartening to hear this claim as this shows that dalits are not only rich but liberal too. Is she not honest when she says that unlike other leaders she did not hide anything?

R.N.P. Singh

Tony Blair demits office of the Prime Minister after 10 years at the age of only 54. Bill Clinton demitted office at the age of 50. After demitting office, these leaders dedicate their life to the true service of the 0people, far away from the murky politics. When will our leaders learn Vanprastha and Sanyas.

Shiv Sena must ensure in lieu of its votes to Pratibha Patil that as a President she would see to it that Afzal Guru, already condemned by the Supreme Court is hanged. Sena must remember the reason d'atre of their not supporting A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's second term.

Merit-Merit students securing 99% marks are meritorious and get admissions in choice colleges under DU Campus College. But not the students who secured between 94 and 97% because cut off marks was at 98% in some colleges. The students securing between 85% and 90% have hardly any chance of admission in DU Campus. Can we say that these students are not meritorious? Is the present system of evaluation only real test of merit? Why are we stopping students with 94% marks to get in SRRC?

Present day politics has become a place to mint money, which is proved by politician's declared wealth e.g. Mayavati's 52 crore, Chandrababu Naidu 20 crore, O.P Chautala 6 crore and so on. Only God knows about their undeclared wealth. Mind it, they are humble servants of the people.

JNU has 3,000 acre of land for 3000 students and under 600 teachers. The only contribution of this elite institution has made is furtherance of an archaic and inhuman ideology i.e. Communism and remain in news for all the wrong reasons.

There was a time when it was claimed that even if a lamppost, as a Congress candidate would defeat any candidate from opposition side. In this presidential election Sonia Gandhi is trying to prove this.

Pratibha Patil, UPA candidate for the highest post of the country, is currently one of 34 respondents in an ongoing case in the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court on the subject of misappropriation of funds. If she does not suffer from consciousness and problem of morality can she not be legally stopped from contesting election? Why can't a PIL be field in the court?

So far we have Criminals, murderers, financial embezzlers, goondas etc as MLAs, MPs and Ministers. Now we are going to have a President of the country, who is being prosecuted for financial embezzlement/mismanagement to the tune of about Rs. 70 crore. Her brother is an accused in a murder case and close relatives have declared themselves financially so bankrupt that they cannot repay the bank loans, and she herself is parokar in the case. Long Live Democracy in India!!!

Everybody is corrupt. In the system no one can succeed without bribing or big recommendation. No one can get admission of his ward in IIT or any prestigious public school without big money. This is the cynicism of the highest order. Despite this my contention is that the importance of merit is being recognized increasingly year by year. It is a surviving kit for any institution.

Dina Nath Mishra

Even after sixty years of independence, people in border districts of Arunachal Pradesh are forced to listen and view Chinese radio and TV because of weak Indian transmission system. The height of negligence and apathy towards Arunachal not only deprives entertainment but also provides opportunity to the Chinese to subvert the loyalty of the people in this strategic region.

Sharad Pawar claims to be a man of sports. But he has not learnt sportsman's spirit or else he would not have said 'the game is over for Kalam'. Look at the speeches Kalam is delivering even now. Eternal sportsmanship can be seen in his personality. Not in yours, Mr. Pawar.

Mr. Moolchand has been selling 'bhelpuri' outside the Miranda House College since 1978. His clients claim that the 'bhelpuri' still tastes the same. The politicians who turned themselves upside down should learnt one or two lessons from Moolchand.

The shape of democracy in India has to change. A conglomerate of parties with less than 25% of the total votes polled which means just about 12% of the total registered voters are ruling 75% who did not vote for them. Where is the concept of majority of 51% VS 49%.

China is building a 108 km. metalled road to Mount Everest with main aim to divert the flow of Brahamputra river for its project which envisages of eleven dams. Recently the Chinese had refused visa to a Arunachal officer. China is surrounding India from all sides. Have you heard anybody dying of hunger in Rajasthan? Do you know why? It is because of magnanimity of Rajasthanis where rich cultural tradition speaks loudly. The traditions are so humane that one professor of Jodhpur University abandoned the idea of constructing his house over a plot because ants had already settled in every layer of earth. They don't allow even ants, pigeons and birds to remain in hunger.

Railway Minister Lalu Yadav says that opposition parties insulted A.P.J. Abdul Kalam by proposing his name for the post of the President. Why does he forget that the U.P.A. has insulted the whole country by opposing Kalam's name for second term even when eighty percent of people were eager to see him again as the Head of the country.

R.N.P.Singh

The way Presidentship of India is becoming a choice of a few non-descript parties or ever a few or one individual is alarming. Even those who could win election to represent a parliamentary constituency are being popped up for the Presidentship the country. The only way to get a true people's President is to elect him through the direct election by the people.

The United States plan to arm Sunny Arab tribes to fight Al-Qaeda. The U.S. in the past had equipped Taliban to fight against Russians in Afghanistan. The same Taliban is proving bone in the throat of U.S. Is it not committing the same mistake again?

Earlier left parties denied Shivraj Patil the nomination for the Presidentship of India because he had not put enough number of Hindus in jail and not banned Hindu organizations to prove his 'secular' credentials. Now the same left is pressing for the dismissal of Patil from Man Mohan Singh's ministry. Let us see how far the knife of 'secularism' goes into the heart of the Congress.

The regional parties which are the main contenders in the state politics will not vote for the Congress Presidential candidate in their own interest. Mrs Pratibha Patil's installation in Rashtrapati Bhawan is for the sole purpose of facilitating the Congress to come to power, whatever may be the odds. However, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat would be an independent candidate. Smoke screen of communalism is now too transparent. If people go by evidence, and not by propaganda, Congress is the most communal party in of the country, brazenly encouraging the Muslim and Christian communalism throughout.

Dina Nath Mishra

The source of the flow of disintegration and the disunity of the country is none else but the present politics and politicians who openly encourage regionalism and casteism to achieve their own goal.

R.N.P. Singh

Newspapers are eulising Pratibha Patil's unflinching loyalty to Nehru family and justifying her selection for the Presidential candidate as a reward for loyalty. Does it mean that the only qualification for the Presidentship of India is loyalty to Sonia Gandhi? This notion will also meet the same fate as 'Indira is India' and 'India is Indira'.

Congress is saying that its Presidential candidate Mrs. Pratibha Patil should be supported by all because she is a woman. Will Congress tell the nation why this choice of woman was only after Shivraj Patil, Sushil Kumar Sinde, Narayan Datt Tiwari, Karan Singh, Motilal Vora, Pranab Mukherjee and lots of others were rejected? Please do not make a virtue out of follies!

I have a special request for Rajasthan Secondary Board to give an honorary matriculation certificate to Shiv Charan Yadav from Khori village of Alwar district in Rajsthan for his absolute dedication for education. He failed in the exam 38th time. At the age of 71, he appeared again. His dedication to education is underlined by the fact, that, he has taken a vow, not to marry till he cleared the exam. He had started this venture when he was in marriageable age. If Universities can award doctor's degree to half-educated ministers, what is the harm if the Board ceremoniously award Secondary School certificate to this chronic bachelor?

The definition that democracy is for the people, by the people and of the people has lost its relevance in India. Third Front leaders meeting of eight parties at Hyderabad cannot be an alternative to the already existing two poles. Firstly, the experience of UPA has devastated the Indian electorates. Secondly, this will only be a gathering of the parties for there is no force -multiplier. Indian voters are weary of weak government at the Center. In coalition era also a strong pole is required so that aligning parties are not in position to dictate, as is the case with the UPA government. Left front is incapable of providing a central pole because of their geographical limitation. At best Third Front may play a decisive role in the forthcoming Presidential election.

Dina Nath Mishra

The fire of reservation in Rajasthan is still burning. In the meantime Ram Vilas Paswan has come up with plans to launch an intensive campaign for reservation in the private sector and judicial services. It seems that political leaders, after having lost credibility, have the only alternative to survive and remain in news - to incite people in the name of reservation.

I heartily appreciate the role played by T.V. Rajeswar, a life-long Congress loyalist. He has proved to be an ideal 'His Master's Voice'. I wander at the ability of the Congress leaders to select super loyalist for the office of the Governor. They certainly are going to employ this skill while selecting the congress candidates for the offices of the Vice-President and the President.

Dina Nath Mishra

Uttar Pradesh governor T.V. Rajeshwar declined sanction to the CBI to prosecute Mayawati in the Rs. 175 crore Taj Heritage Corridor scam. Well done Governor and the UPA Government at the Centre! You both have given a further push to the process of aversion, hatred and dislike towards politics, politicians and also this mode of democracy.

The closure of Super 30 IIT Coaching Centre run by IPS officer Abhayanand and mathematician Anand Kumar in Patna, 28 out of 30 students of which cleared IIT entrance test shows the malice that has pervaded us. For the last five years this coaching centre has dazzled the whole academic world of Bihar. But now this coaching centre has heen closed because of the professional rivalry within the IPS cadres and the commercial coaching centers. Super-30 did not charge any money from students. The criteria was brilliance tagged to poverty from the cross-section of the society. The closure shows that the rot has gone much deeper in Bihar, where even as noble as super-30 IIT can bring heart-burn.

Dina Nath Mishra

It has finally been decided that the Congress candidates for Vice-President and President would be decided by Sonia Gandhi. But where was the need for its clarification. Is it not a well known fact that she has inherited the divine right to decide everything for her party?

Dina Nath Mishra

It is high time for media particularly T.V. channels to behave responsibly in nation's interest. The behaviour of some of the T.V. channels clearly indicate their political bias. In the race of TRP and 'breaking news' they sometime target the national interest as it happened in Rajasthan where footages of previous happenings showeted regularly escalated the violence. There should be some self-restrain on the part of T.V. Channels, at least in the interest of nation.

A Shia cleric in Iraq has opposed yoga in the name of religion. What a tragedy of Islamic radicals? Yoga has nothing to do with religion. It is a physical, mental and spiritual endevour. It is a science which was practiced by Indian sages since ancient days to keep body and mind fit.

Reservation first pitted the followers Hinduism and Islam against each. After independence it divided Hindu Community between touchables and untouchables. Mandal divided it into castes. Leaving the realm of reasonableness, now the entire social fabric of the nation is being destroyed by the petty politicians by pitting caste-against-caste. Communities-after-Communities and faith-against-faith and religion-against-religion. Country does not need today politician, cast leaders, community leaders and regional leaders. It need a Statesman who could thinks about Bharat and Bharat alone.

It will give opportunity to every head of family especially those living Below Poverty Line whether the next year is worth living. If not they may opt for self 'Jhatka'.
