Positions Held :
From early fifties to mid-sixties, carried out various responsibilities in RSS, ABVP, BMS and Vivekananda Kendra. Established number of schools under the name of Adarsh Vidya Mandir. Edited Chetandhara Weekly published from Jodhpur. In 1967 I joined as Asstt. Editor 'Panchjanya'. Later in early seventies I was elevated to the position of Chief Editor of the weekly. For couple of years, I was associated with J.P. Movement and was jailed during emergency. From mid-seventies to 1990, I held various positions in Times of India Group and Express Group including that of Asstt. Editor, Special Correspondent, Chief of the Bureau and Resident Editor. Since then I have been working as syndicated Journalist. In 1998, I was elected Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, from Uttar Pradesh and retired there from in July 2004. In 1999 I established India First Foundation, an NGO engaged in intellectual activities.
